The Internet of Things: Designing a regulatory environment to promote innovation

The Digital District collaborates with the organization of the course ” The Internet of Things: Designing a regulatory environment to promote innovation “, which will be held on June, from 26 to 29, in Alicante.

This course will provide attendants with knowledge of the Internet of Things in relation with, amongst other aspects, technical, business and regulatory issues, patents and standards and cybersecurity.

Bocconi  University organizes this XIIIth Edition of the Transatlantic Intellectual Property Summer Academy (TIPSA), jointly  with  the  University of  Alicante  and  the  Magister  Lvcentinvs. This year’s TIPSA topic is the Internet of Things. The Congress aims to provide highly specialized training on the different legal issues surrounding the deployment of the Internet of Things. Lectures will cover patentrelated issues such as the protection of IoT-related technologies and applications, the increasing relevance of standardization and connectivity; the protection and access to data as a prerequisite for the development of IoT-related services; protection of consumers’ interests and privacy; and cybersecurity. The main purpose of the lectures is to analyse how the regulatory framework related to all these issues can be updated so that innovation is fostered without harming our fundamental values.
