More than fifty sports federations and clubs have participated in the conference ‘Technology in the development of sports entities’, organized by Comunitat Valenciana Digital District on February 20 in Castellón. The event was attended by Rufino Selva, Deputy Director of Sociedad Proyectos Temáticos de la Comunidad Valenciana (SPTCV) and the deputy of Sports from Castellón, Tania Baños.
This conference, which took place also in Alicante last November, constitutes the first activity that Digital District organizes in Castellón, and for this it has had the collaboration of the Diputación de Castellón.
The technical conference has been open in nature, and is especially focused on sports entities, federations, coordinators, managers, sports professionals, students, coaches, technicians, teachers and other agents interested in improving the digitization processes, organization and management procedures in their entities.
The importance of technology in Sport
During the conference, the importance of digitization processes in the management of sports entities was made clear, given the impact and high degree of penetration that Sport has in all kinds of social sectors. The multiple solutions and technological tools that are available to sports entities from technological hubs such as Digital District, are an opportunity that can be used by coaches, teachers, club managers, and of course, professional athletes and young people and children who practice some sport activity.
The attendants were able to see first-hand real cases experienced by small sports clubs and sports entities in national competition or sports centers and facilities.
In the coming months, Digital District will organize a conference of these characteristics also in the city of Valencia, in line with the aim of extending the activity of the digital ecosystem to the entire territory of the Region of Valencia.
