• The May agenda includes webinars on innovative solutions in the health, financial, tourism, urban planning and training areas in the post-COVID environment

 

(Alicante, Saturday May 9, 2020) .- Comunidad Valenciana Digital District remains fully comitted to specialized technological training with a complete agenda of free online courses and discussion forums over the next few days, which propose innovative analysis and solutions in the health, financial and tourism fields, besides the urban planning and online training in the post-COVID environment.

Next week’s agenda kicks off with with an initiative of great interest such as the post-COVID ‘Technological solutions for companies and tourist destinations’ webinar, organized by the Comunidad Valenciana Digital District and Invat.tur (Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies) next 12 May 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This initiative is part of the joint collaboration of both entities ‘Knowledge Transfer Digital District – Network of Intelligent Tourist Destinations of the Valencian Community’, to bring technological solutions to the tourism sector developed by companies under the umbrella of the Digital District.

The event will be held in online format and will be presented by the Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, and by Antonio Rodes, General Director of the Society of Thematic Projects of the Valencian Community (SPTCV). The webinar will be moderated by Mario Villar, director of Tourist Intelligence.

Innovative solutions against COVID-19

The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, and the Conseller of Innovation, Universitats, Science and Digital Society, Carolina Pascual, on May 13, at 12:00, will present via streaming the 41 innovation projects in the fight against the coronavirus, which have been selected in the recent call organized together with the AVI # SúmateAlRetoContraElCovid-19.

In a dialogue format, and supported by dynamic instructional videos on each project, Ximo Puig and Carolina Pascual will analyze and comment on the initiatives, which will be detailed in blocks: Masks and protection for toilets, Test and PCR, Respirators, Medical and pharmacological solutions, Disinfection, AI and Resource Optimization and Logistics.

‘Virtual reality in online training’

Finally, on May 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Comunidad Valenciana Digital District offers a double session of the Simlab IT online course ‘Virtual reality in online training’, which aims to be a guide for online teaching for the design of the classroom of the future with the necessary elements for an Effective Virtual Education.

On Thursday, May 14, an overview of online education will be addressed, with the analysis of opportunities and challenges for students and teachers, as well as myths and beliefs, and the development of an effective system for online learning and teaching.

On Friday, May 15, this webinar will face the different ways to prepare and support digital teachers, the definition and application of effective professional development for online classes, the evaluation and assessment of online teaching and the skills and characteristics that should bring together the new digital teachers.

Innovation and Active Urban Design

Likewise, on May 18 and 19, from 09:00 to 14:00, the Digital District and Player Accelerator will offer a new online course on ‘Urban Design and Innovation’, in which different innovative ways to create environments will be addressed. active and involve citizens more in physical activity.

Participants will also be able to learn about the use of electronic tools so that, through the game, a more active lifestyle is designed, as well as concrete examples of actions developed with the Ministry of Sports of Saudi Arabia, on ‘How to reorganize university sports ‘and in Finland with the city of Oulu, on’ How to use electronic sports to help children lead a more active and balanced life ‘.

COVID-19 line business financing

The following week, on May 20, the agenda will feature the free online webinar ‘COVID-19 Line of Business Financing’, organized by the Comunidad Valenciana Digital District and Banco Sabadell, through its BStartup program. During this meeting, the facilities offered by Banco Sabadell to respond to the liquidity needs of companies will be analyzed, in the situation motivated by Covid-19.

The event will be held in online format, and the presentation will be given by Ángel Buigues, Banco Sabadell BStartup Advisor and Marta Campillo, Investment Analyst and Program Coordinator of BStartup10. In this forum, participants will be able to learn more about how a company should prepare for the new reality that is presented, what liquidity solutions banks offer to alleviate the situation, and the different lines of support available at the moment (ICO, IVF Pyme …).
