The II Alicante Digital Surgery Forum is already underway. On October 14 and 15 we have an appointment with the reference medical digitization event, organized by Avamed Sinergy with the support of Comunitat Valenciana Digital District. Two days of debate and reflection that this year are carried out with a one hundred percent virtual format, to adapt to the current situation derived from Covid-19.

The event will bring together researchers, academics, biomedical engineers, surgeons and health managers in a forum for debate and collaboration in matters of scientific transfer and development of projects that improve people’s lives. The relationship between University, Hospital and Company are the example of joint development always at the forefront of innovation.

The II Alicante Digital Surgery Forum 2020 will feature webinars and virtual forums that will address the main challenges of medical digitization: virtual surgical planning, medical information management and the application of Artificial Intelligence in medicine.

The event will be attended by Carolina Pascual, Regional Minister of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society and Antonio Rodes, general director of SPTCV. They will be accompanied by Lucas Díez, CEO of Avamed Synergy, a company that is also installed in the Digital District and develops all its technology from the Valencian Community.

The forum will also feature presentations by experts from the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital, Alzira Hospital and the Valladolid Clinical Hospital; companies like Techfit DS- Daytona and Mimetis Biomaterials; and leading institutions such as the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering and the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante.

The first edition of the Digital Surgery Forum was held in 2019 in person at the facilities of the Distrito Digital Comunitat Valenciana, with a great success of the call. Don’t miss the second edition! Reserve your virtual place here.
