The regional department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, throug Comunitat Valenciana Digital District, together with the Alcoi City Council (Alicante), the Polytechnic School (EPSA) of the Alcoi Campus of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) and the Fundación Empresa Universidad Alicante – Fundeun, organize the I Digital Transformation Conference Alcoy 2020 “The before and after”, which will be held on November 26, 27 and 28, with the aim of making the real cases known to companies and current applications of technology in the digital transformation of companies.

The event continues the line of collaboration started with the Digital District, whose main objective is to ensure that the technologies developed in the technological hub have a direct impact on the industry of the territory, and there is a real transfer of knowledge both towards professionals and talent from the different training centers, as well as towards citizenship. Attendees will be able to participate in this event in person at the CADA building in Alcoi, or follow it live via streaming, since a hybrid face-to-face – online format has been determined.

The first session to be held on Thursday 26 afternoon, “The Before and After”, is oriented to company executives, who will be able to learn about real cases of digital transformation applied to companies of different sectors and sizes. The objective is that the attending professionals can learn the different problematic presentations and real solutions similar to their environments, and understand how there can be a before and after for their businesses by applying certain processes and technologies.

Within the I Digital Transformation Conference, the virtual #HackOVID: New post-Covid-19 challenges is also held. It is a virtual, open and participatory event, created to respond to the needs generated by the pandemic. It will take place on November 27 and 28, with the collaboration of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE). Students and university and vocational training graduates, entrepreneurs, teachers, researchers, managers, businessmen, and anyone interested in generating synergies in the post-COVID field can participate in the hackathon with a practical experiential activity developed over a weekend.
