Comunitat Valenciana Digital District collaborates with the organization of the MEDNIGHT 2020 event, the Mediterranean Night of the Researchers, which will be held on November 27 in various cities of the Valencian Community and Murcia.

The initiative is part of the events scheduled for the European Researchers’ Night, an action promoted by the European Union to bring scientific-technical careers, -called STEM-, closer to the youngest and awaken interest in these professions. From the Spanish Mediterranean arc we join the strategic lines of the EU to promote scientific vocations with initiatives such as ‘Mediterranean Science’ and this Mednight 2020. The objective is to make visible the set of scientific activities and the leading researchers of our closest environment. Likewise, we want to value Mediterranean Science as part of our historical and cultural heritage, as well as the benefits it brings to the whole of society.

Mednight 2020 has scheduled a wide range of activities in the cities of Alicante, Valencia, Castellón, Elche, Murcia and Cartagena. Topics such as the sustainability of the seas, geology and biodiversity, clean energy, history and heritage, life and health, diet and food, as well as the most relevant figures among the researchers will be addressed.
