The 1st International Forum “Territories and sustainable tourism 5.0”, organized jointly by the Valencian Community Digital District and the sustainability and innovation platform Connect Clean, will bring together on June 16, 17 and 18 a careful selection of experts in sustainable transformation, who will share their experiences of success in their firms and cities of reference, both within our borders and on Frech terrritory.

This meeting aims to present the projects of each municipality and actors in the territories and give the opportunity to companies, startups and clusters to offer solutions to the challenges posed in the projects.

Among the speakers and participants in the hybrid format meeting -face-to-face and online- the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Hub Tourisme Paris, the city of Dijon, the French Tech Aix-en-Provence, as well as the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories (AVITEM), among others.

On the part of the Spanish public entities, the participation of representatives and technicians from the three provinces of the Valencian Community, in addition to Córdoba, Granada, Málaga and Burgos, has already been confirmed, and it is planned to expand this list in the coming weeks.

This event, which will take place in the premises of the technological complex in Alicante, aims to “generate the opportunity to bring together public and private actors endowed with a systemic vision of the city of tomorrow, be inspired by the best initiatives and project into the future of urban transformation“.

At the heart of the debate will be the territories and sustainable tourism framed under the umbrella of the following 10 challenges: Mobility and Transport; Infraestructures and maintenance; Energy, climate and environment; Tourism with New Destination Models and Technology and Tourism; Cities/territories and industrial estates; Housing, Heritage, Neighborhoods and citizen interaction; Inclusion and culture and as well a risk and security Control.

Connect Clean is an online networking platform that brings together international actors (companies and institutions) related to Innovation, Ecology and Sustainability. This portal is intended for companies with sustainable businesses or companies that are on the way to becoming an eco-business.

The task of this entity is to facilitate the relationship between companies and projects oriented towards sustainabe transformation. Its field of action includes referenced sectors of activity such as renewable energies, waste treatment, sustainable agriculture, recycling, mobility, optimization of resources, digitization at the service of the circular economy, among others.
